The most famous novel written by Mark Twain, 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer' is a faithful portrait of the society and the traditions in the south of the United States, with a big view reserved to customs, superstitions and racism. Tom Sawyer is a lively and restless boy, really smart and engaging. He has the outstanding ability to fool everyone just to reach his goals and one of his favourite victim is her aunt Polly, who adopted him after his parents death. His willing instinct drives him through dangerous adventures: he runs away from home to act like a pirate, pretends to be drowned for the fun to watch his own funeral and becomes an involuntary witness to the murder of the local doctor in town. Tom's goal is to become rich, and that dream comes true when he finds a treasure in a cave. This wil lead him through many new and amazing adventures.
