When Joe Talbert receives an assignment to write a biography, he chooses Carl Iverson, a notorious killer who raped and murdered a young girl thirty years ago. Carl, who had just been released from prison, very soon turns Joe’s life upside down when the latter uncovers proof that Carl is innocent. This sends him and his neighbor, Lisa, on a chase after the real killer. As Joe and Lisa begin digging deeper and manage to reopen a cold case, they begin finding clues that seem to lead to the real killer.
