A B/W photographic California Journey in the early Seventies (160 images). The Angela Davis trial, the students revolt against the war in Vietnam, both in Berkeley and San Francisco. The Middle Class, its myths and rituals. Memorial Day, Daly City and its “Little Boxes”, a landmark made famous by Malvina Reynolds in one of her most famous and celebrated songs. The big automobile myth begins to change and smaller Japanese cars start to appear on big billboards on major communication roads. The famous California standard of living keeps running high and an interview by Sandro Pintus helps us understand and appreciate this project by Maurizio Berlincioni, a Florentine photographer.
