Call Me By Your Name

I'm somewhat surprised by all the love and good reviews this story received. People tend to either ignore or don't care about the age gap between the two characters and the many toxic sides of their relationship, as the possessive and obsessive thoughts both of them have for the other. If I read this book as a romance I'm immediately made uncomfortable and cannot see how everyone could think of it as a sweet and innocent love story; on the contrary, I read this book as the story of a seventeen years old boy who is desperate for approval and love from someone similar to him, and that fall into the trap of an older college student.

I bought this book few years ago to improve my english skills. The plot is completely different from the movie and I'll be honest I prefer the book. The writing is easy-reading. So i suggest to everyone to read it!
