This manual was a community effort that is based on many years in the deliverance ministry and working with people that believed they were afflicted by demonic entities. This brought us to the realization that all penitents, that is, all people, needed a better understanding of how to change their vices into virtues and how to deal with their own run of the mill, common demons that God has allowed to tempt us. We did not need a book on spiritual combat. We needed a manual on the truth of who we are as God created us. We were in dire need of a manual with: Adequate catechesis of how the non-material and perfect human soul, with the ability to reason, must work through the imperfect human body and brain to do anything. More specifically, we needed to know how to physically change a vice into a virtue in our physical brain based on the Natural and Divine Law in our immaterial soul that has the ability to reason. A catechism written specifically to change our vices to virtues that includes God’s grace, the seven Sacraments, the communion of saints, what authority we have in the spiritual world, the holy and fallen angels, and the seven deadly sins as defined by St. Pope Gregory the Great. We wanted to give the people what St. Thomas Aquinas knew back in the thirteenth century and somehow was lost in the Catholic theology of today. This manual is a blueprint on how to change our vices into virtues by understanding how our soul and physical brain work together and most importantly, to make this change with the grace of God.
