To this day, humanity still has no definitive answer to one of the most fundamental questions concerning its own existence: from whom or from what does it originate, how did it come into being, and what is the true cause of its existence? Despite the enormous advancement of knowledge and the development of science, philosophy, and religious thought, the question of human origins remains open. Throughout its history, humanity has attempted to find an answer to a question that lies at the very foundation of its existence. It has sought answers in faith, sacred scriptures, traditions, philosophy, the observation of nature, and, in more recent times, in the scientific study of life, the Earth, the universe, and the Cosmos. The question is one, but the answers are many. This very fact forms the foundation of this work. Humanity stands before the question of its own origin, yet the answer to the question of how it came into existence is not a single one. Religions offer answers based on faith, revelation, and tradition. Science builds its conclusions upon observation, research, evidence, and the constant re-examination of existing knowledge. For centuries, these approaches have existed in a relationship marked by opposition, misunderstanding, acceptance, and rejection. Humanity has therefore remained between two great possibilities: believing that it was created by the will of God or accepting the possibility that it came into existence as a consequence of natural and cosmic processes. This book has emerged from the need to examine that question as a whole, without accepting any predetermined answer as final. Its purpose is to return to the very foundation of the human question concerning origins and to follow it through the most important religious and historical conceptions, all the way to modern humanity, which today, thanks to the development of knowledge and its own cognitive abilities, is capable of independently observing the reality that surrounds it.
