What happens when the reference points we inherited are no longer enough? Moving from self-interpretation and the soul to shared judgment, human-made creations, classification, impact, and responsibility, the book explores what happens when familiar categories begin to lose their grip. It offers no universal formula and no final definition of what our creations are. Instead, it asks whether our urge to classify may sometimes outrun our ability to understand. Not every blank has to be filled. Sometimes the harder question is whether filling it would make our judgment more accurate—or merely more certain.
