The result —visible to anyone willing to look— is a citizen subdued not through physical force but through digital engineering. An individual shaped, scored, tracked, and rewarded for conformity with what the State defines as public virtue. But the decisive question is not China. The real vertigo arises when one observes the West replicating, step by step, the same pattern. China as a model… or as a warning? Mandatory digital identities, health passports, biometric surveillance, legal expansion of financial control, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), restrictions on cash, supervisory algorithms, algorithmic censorship, demonetization of dissent: what seemed unthinkable just a few years ago is now advancing with surprising synchrony in Europe, North America, and Oceania. It is not necessary to assert a global agenda to observe it. The facts speak. The parallels accumulate. The same financial institutions, technology corporations, and information platforms that collaborate with Beijing also appear as key actors in Western digital infrastructure. A new order after collapse? Or does another path still exist? The Chinese system, admired by some as a model of efficiency, also shows cracks: a real estate bubble, massive youth unemployment, capital flight, and growing social tension under increasingly severe control. Here emerges the question this book does not seek to answer for you, but to open: Are we witnessing the dress rehearsal of a global model of control? Or the first experiment that may fail before it expands? A manufactured crisis to reset the system? Or silent resistance beginning to emerge? This is not a work for comfortable readers.
