His presence was like a bright ray of sunshine that illuminated my entire youth. Each day, a new chapter unfolded between us, filled with hope and eager anticipation. As our story begins, I walked into the classroom on the first day of high school and felt that everything was old, dull, and gray. I quickly scanned the room and randomly chose an empty seat to sit in. At the end of the row, near the window, stood a tall boy, about six feet tall. He exuded a captivating sense of freedom and youthfulness. He had a healthy tan complexion and his features were well defined. With particularly thick eyebrows, his eyes were mesmerizingly beautiful, as if they contained countless untold stories and a world of imagination. Because of his constant disruption of class order, our teacher, Mrs. Jane, assigned me to share a desk with him. And so we became desk mates for the next two years. Max, this unusual character whose name I later learned, was always full of vitality and had a mischievous grin that attracted people to him. He always had a group of friends around him, and laughter seemed to follow him from morning to night. His remarkable gregariousness allowed him to effortlessly connect with everyone, while I was the complete opposite. Max's high school days were spent either reading One Piece in class or in constant conversation with the students around him. His voice varied in pitch, sometimes high, sometimes low, as if he were acting out a gripping drama. He had a gift for transforming the ordinary into something compelling. Max's entrance into my life was like a breath of fresh air that rejuvenated my existence. His constant supply of intriguing ideas left me in awe. In addition, his eyes had an uncanny ability to seemingly read minds. When he looked at me, I felt a hint of nervousness, but much more excitement. He was undeniably unique, introducing imaginative ideas that were truly out of this world. On one occasion, he revealed an unimaginable secret - that he was from the future and had the extraordinary ability to control dreams. He could infiltrate other people's dreams and penetrate the depths of their hearts. I couldn't fully comprehend it and found it hard to believe. However, when Max ventured into my dream world, I witnessed sights and experiences unlike anything I had encountered before. It felt like I was exploring the terrain of a science fiction movie. To this day, I am not sure if it was all a figment of his imagination or something more profound. Max blurred the line between reality and a fantastical realm.
