Synopsis: Seven-year-old Lily discovers a talking baby squirrel, Squeak, who tells her about missing boys kidnapped by creatures in the Shadow Woods. Together, they embark on a perilous adventure, navigating treacherous traps, monstrous creatures, and a goblin lair to rescue the boys held captive in the Obsidian Caves. With the help of a mysterious woodsman, Elian, Lily and Squeak use their courage, resourcefulness, and friendship to overcome the dangers and bring the boys home, proving that even the smallest heroes can make a big difference. Squeak hesitated, then said, "It's about the missing boys." Lily's breath caught in her throat. She had heard the whispers in the village, the worried murmurs of parents, the grim faces of the policemen. Three boys, all around her age, had vanished from the woods in the past few weeks. No one knew where they had gone, or why. "What about the missing boys?" she asked, her voice barely a whisper. "The wind says they were taken," Squeak said, his eyes dark. "Taken by creatures that dwell in the shadows, creatures that crave the laughter of children." Lily felt a surge of fear, but also a strange sense of purpose. She couldn't just stand by while other children were in danger. She had to help. "We have to find them," she declared, her voice firming with resolve. Squeak looked at her, surprised. "We?"
