Rare original edition, dedicated by the author, who disguises himself under the Arcadian name of Filidoro Meonidense, to the members of the Accademia dei Dissonanti and of the Panaro branch of the Arcadia, of this dithyrambic poem dedicated to the race of the barbary horses held in Modena in 1781. In the note to the reader, the poet states that he composed it in just two days in order to have it printed in time for the event. At the end is the Nota dè Pastori Arcadi nominati nel ditirambo, come sovvenuti sono all'Autore, i.e. the list of the poetic and real names of the Arcadian poets mentioned in the poem. Vicini was a prolific poet and is the author of several ephemeral publications, a collection of Rime (Modena, 1736), as well as a poem about the Modena wines (I vini modanesi baccanale, Modena, 1752).
