Synopsis:- In a whimsical town where animals and humans coexist, a brave donkey named Dilly and his clever lemur friend Lenny witness a group of mischievous foxes bullying a gentle sloth named Sammy. Determined to stand up for Sammy, Dilly and Lenny rally a quirky crew of friends—including a wise owl and a crafty raccoon—to confront the bullies. What begins as a serious showdown transforms into a hilarious scavenger hunt in the infamous Forbidden Forest, where the friends must find five hidden items before midnight. Along the way, they face challenges, solve riddles, and navigate the mysterious forest, ultimately proving that teamwork and courage can triumph over adversity. In a heartwarming twist, the competition fosters unexpected friendships, teaching the foxes valuable lessons about kindness and respect. Packed with humor and heart, this delightful tale of empathy and friendship invites middle-grade readers to embrace the power of community and the joy of standing up for others. Part Of The Book:- It was a typical afternoon in the lively town of Harmony Hollow, where animals and humans coexisted in peaceful chaos. Dilly the donkey, known for his big heart and stubborn sense of justice, clopped his way down Main Street. His best friend, Lenny the lemur, scampered along beside him, hopping on fences and lampposts like he was training for an acrobat show. "I swear, Dilly," Lenny said, hanging upside down from a tree branch, "one day, you're going to trip over those big ol' hooves of yours, and I'll have to peel you off the pavement." Dilly rolled his eyes but grinned. "Better to have big hooves than that fuzzy tail of yours. It's a miracle you don't float away every time there's a breeze." "Hey! This tail is all muscle, thank you very much," Lenny retorted, flipping down from the branch and landing on Dilly's back with a thud. "Besides, who else is going to save you when you get yourself into one of your 'hero moments'?" "Hero moments?" Dilly huffed. "I don't know what you're talkin' about." "Oh sure, like last week when you 'rescued' Mrs. Bell's cat from her roof. You didn't even realize it was a stuffed toy." Dilly's ears turned pink, but he kept trotting. "It looked real enough…" Their banter was interrupted by a faint noise coming from the park. At first, Dilly thought it was the wind rustling through the trees, but Lenny's sharp ears picked up something more. "Did you hear that?" Lenny's ears twitched as he sat up, balancing on Dilly's back. "Sounds like someone's in trouble." Dilly stopped in his tracks, tilting his head toward the sound. There it was again—soft sniffling, followed by a high-pitched giggle that wasn't friendly in the least. The duo hurried to the park, weaving through a crowd of humans and animals enjoying the afternoon sun. When they reached the source of the noise, their eyes fell on a sad sight: Sammy the sloth, clinging to a low-hanging tree branch, was surrounded by three smirking foxes. The leader of the foxes, a sleek red fellow named Felix, was flicking a leaf at Sammy's face, while the other two foxes, a pair of identical twins named Frida and Finn, circled the tree, laughing. "Come on, slowpoke!" Felix teased. "Can't you at least climb faster than a snail?" Sammy, who was just as slow emotionally as he was physically, blinked and took a deep breath, but the tears rolling down his furry face were unmistakable.
