As they navigated the chaotic scene, Juma's attention wavered, drawn to a group of boys playing football nearby. He yearned to join them, but his father's insistence on neat arrangements and perfection quickly pulled him back into the present. Amid the din of vendors and customers, Juma overheard a snippet of conversation that sent his heart racing: a football tournament in Nyeri town promised a scholarship to a prestigious academy in Nairobi. The chance to break free from the monotony of shamba work and embrace his passion seemed like a beacon of hope. Yet, the road to this dream was fraught with obstacles, not least of which was convincing his father. That night, as the stars emerged, Juma sat outside their small home, his football at his feet. The cool air carried the whispers of his dreams, mingled with the unyielding voice of reality. His father's disapproval loomed large, yet Juma resolved to find a way.
