Why do I find myself here again? The people change, the places change, the circumstances change. And still something begins to feel familiar: an argument that always starts over the same thing, a difficulty at work that changes company but not sensation, a way of reacting that reappears where you least expected it. Recognizing a resemblance is not the same as having found an explanation. Two situations can look alike and have different causes. That is why this book does not begin by claiming that everything which repeats is a pattern: it begins by teaching you to observe before you interpret. Across twenty chapters, Emily Lima López brings together cognitive psychology, systemic family therapy, the study of habit, and a carefully bounded spiritual reading, to work on a single question with method: what is actually happening, and which part of it is in my hands? What the reader will find Twenty chapters on the sequences that repeat in a couple, in the family, at work, and in the relationship with oneself. Techniques explained step by step, with their limits stated: what each one does and what it does not do. The Pattern Board, a seven-field scheme for analyzing a situation of your own without turning it into a diagnosis. Two worked cases from beginning to end in every chapter, in different settings. Questions and space to write at the end of each unit. A safety criterion repeated throughout the book: when to stop analyzing and seek specialized help. What this book is NOT It is not a book for finding faults or for handing out blame. It does not turn a resemblance into a diagnosis, it does not promise guaranteed results, and it does not make the reader responsible for what other people decide. When the right answer is to change the environment rather than yourself, the book says so. Because before trying to break a pattern, you have to learn to recognize whether it really exists. Emily Lima López is a Dominican clinical psychologist with a bachelor's degree and master's degrees in Clinical Psychology and in Family Therapy from Universidad Abierta para Adultos (UAPA). She holds the exequatur for professional practice and is registered with the Dominican College of Psychologists (CODOPSI). A psychoeducational work. It does not establish diagnoses and does not replace psychotherapy, medical care, or legal advice.
