Raised in the lower 9th ward in New Orleans in the 90's by adoptive parents who were 1936 old school and super strict, Storm Blackwell didn't feel love or a sense of belonging as a child. She found herself searching for love in inappropriate ways which resulted in her being pregnant at the age of fourteen. Although a child herself, Storm committed to being a mother. Hating her home life and wanting to be on her own, Storm became emancipated at sixteen, but nothing would prepare her for the heartache and trauma she would face at the hands of men she thought loved her. Storm was already dealing with domestic abuse and brainwashing, but things really got out of hand after the mysterious death of her second son. As a coping mechanism, Storm became someone she didn't like, but it wasn't until she had nothing left to lose but life itself that she would find herself on a path toward some sense of normalcy.
