In the depths of the Pacific, enemies may discover that honor runs deeper than war. During World War II, Hollywood superstar James Stanford travels to the Pacific as part of a USO tour meant to raise the spirits of Allied troops. But on the remote Stryker Island, a carefully planned Japanese operation turns the visit into something far more dangerous. Stanford is kidnapped and taken aboard The Megumi, a Japanese submarine commanded by Captain Mitsou Fujikama, a disciplined officer devoted to his country, his crew, and an uncompromising code of honor. What begins as a military mission soon becomes a tense struggle for survival when the submarine encounters serious trouble beneath the Pacific. With Allied forces desperately searching for Stanford and time running out aboard The Megumi, prisoner and captor are forced to confront questions that go far beyond military loyalty. What does it truly mean to be honorable? How far should a man follow orders? And when survival hangs in the balance, can enemies learn to see each other as men rather than adversaries? The Megumi: A Question of Honor is a gripping World War II historical fiction and action thriller filled with submarine suspense, military strategy, sacrifice, courage, and humanity.
