And it seeks to end the meaning of “America” as a nation by dissolving the difference between citizen and foreigner. These are all familiar tendencies in modern life—we hear people complain generally about them on social media or cable news all the time—even if we don’t necessarily connect them or see them as part of a unified, revolutionary effort to change America.
