In "The White Cat's Omen," 48-year-old Mr. Chen lives alone in an old-fashioned apartment building. The cracks in the floorboards bear the marks of time, and the refrigerator is always stocked with frozen food. Loneliness is the most common theme in this room. Until his close friend, Amin, entrusted him with a pure white cat named "Bai Bai" before leaving. The soft fur and affectionate purring finally brought a touch of life to the cold home. At first, Bai Bai was incredibly docile, sitting on Mr. Chen's lap to read the newspaper with him, and bringing him old socks from under the bed to his pillow—becoming his most comforting solace. But this warmth didn't last long. Unusual signs began to appear: the vet said its pupils contracted at an unusual frequency; the nanny was scratched three times by Bai Bai while cleaning; and, more unsettlingly, a rash inexplicably appeared on the back of his neck, with tiny dark red spots always appearing on his collar in the mornings. The eeriness of the surroundings also quietly spread. Strange mud spots related to Bai Bai and unusual clutter in the cat's nest gradually formed a secret connection with the abandoned signal tower on the back mountain. As the white cat repeatedly switched between gentleness and ferocity, Old Chen's physical changes became more and more obvious. An unknown mystery with science fiction secrets was quietly entangling his life along the lines of the cat's paws.
