Six postseason appearances and two trips to the World Series brought baseball excitement back to Cleveland in the form of 455 straight regular-season home sellout crowds. Losing seasons for the most part followed until Terry Francona came aboard as manager in 2013. The son of former Indians player Tito Francona, the younger Francona led the team to nine winning seasons in his eleven years as manager, including six playoff appearances and a World Series berth in 2016.
