Stellar Books, 2026

IN THE GRAND TRADITION OF STAR TREK! After a titanic space battle with hostile aliens seeking to destroy mankind, Commodore Abraham Briggs is lost. His starship, the Corregidor, is disabled, its energy tanks depleted. But Briggs has not lost hope. Beneath him lies a strangely beautiful world where Briggs might be able to find fuel for his ship, get his bearings, and plot a course home to Earth. What he doesn't know is that the ruler of the planet, the Ecolog, has her own plans for the Corregidor, and on this remote and contradictory world – the Ecolog is omnipotent! "Captivating science fiction." Poshmark "Lost, pursued by hostile aliens, his ship disabled, Commodore Abraham Briggs has one last hope. Beneath him lies a strangely beautiful world. From it he may refuel his ship, find his bearings, and plot his course home. Good space opera." John Betancourt, author*, Star Trek DS9: Heart of a Warrior* "Humankind has spread out into the Milky Way until it encountered the Lorn, an alien spacefaring race. Warfare ensues. A human warship, the "Corregidor", battles two Lorn craft. The "Corregidor" is badly damaged and barely escapes, becomes lost and expends almost all of its fuel. It winds up in orbit around an uncharted planet that harbors human inhabitants descended from a small group of colonists who arrived 300 years in the past and terraformed the atmosphere. The book is populated with all manner of competent, powerful female characters and in that aspect it was ahead of its time. I am going to be reading some more Nelson. Holds up well..." Goodreads
