_x000D_Second and best edition of the first emblem book printed in Spain and the only treatise on emblem theory produced in 16th-century Spain. Compared to the first edition published by de la Cuesta in 1589, this second edition was completely reset with the addition of a new preface. It is thus considered as the reference edition for this text. The work was again reprinted at Zaragoza in 1604 and in Latin translation with significant changes at Agrigento in 1601.
