50 anni fa i Jethro Tull iniziarono la loro scalata verso la vetta del rock, conquistandone la cima passando per vari versanti: progressive, folk e hard.
“Heavy Horses” è il secondo di una trilogia di album folk-rock, pubblicato tra Songs From The Wood (1977) e Stormwatch (1979).
L’album entrò nella top 20 in entrambi i lati dell’Atlantico, conquistando critica e pubblico soprattutto grazie alle sue melodie e alla firma inimitabile del flauto di Anderson.
La New Shoes Edition comprende l’album originale e nove tracce aggiuntive, di cui sette inedite. Inoltre un concerto live del maggio 1978 e due DVD che contengono le tracce originali, bonus e live mixati in surround sound da Steven Wilson e Jakko Jakszyk. Il booklet di 96 pagine copre la storia dell’album e del tour corrispondente, completo di testi, foto e interviste esclusive.

La box e'pazzesca in quanto e'ricchissima:3 cd e 2 dvd(piena di rarita':vedesi set list)... eccellente mega-booklet interno . ma veniamo al piatto forte, la rimasterizzazione di Steven Wilson:siamo stavolta a livelli meravigliosi, suoni nascosti tirati fuori, dinamica sorprendentemente sublime.suond caldo avvolgente, una festa per le orecchie...ma ormai Wilson non sorprende piu':e'un fuoriclasse assoluto dei restauri sonori...un tecnico sopraffino... mi auguro possa rimasterizzare anche album come Tangerine Dream Cyclone e Force Majeure! Box CONSIGLIATISSIMA anche per chi ha gia'questo capolavoro in altra edizione!
