Fictional adaptations range from early modern utopian literature to modern conspiracy theories suggesting that Atlanteans possessed knowledge far beyond that of other ancient civilizations. Even today, the idea of a lost, technologically advanced society continues to fuel speculation and excitement, especially among those fascinated by ancient mysteries and alternative history.
