Nick grabbed his empty coffee cup and looked at the waitress at the bar. —Hey, darling, do you have anything warm over there? The gorgeous woman in question was Lorena, one of the bartenders. After grabbing a steaming pot of coffee, she approached their table and refilled both of their cups, all the while keeping an eye on Nick. Darr wasn't surprised in the least. His brother had just arrived at Red Rock, and he'd been there for years. "I heard you work at the Fortune Foundation," he said. "And that you're a financial analyst. I expect Red Rock will seem pretty boring to you after living in Los Angeles." "If Darr has done well here, and it seems he has, I'm sure I'll do even better because I do things better than my little brother," Nick replied in an amused tone. "Oh, yeah?" Lorena smiled. "Everything? We'll have to try that." "Lorena, lunch at five," SusieMae called out at that moment. from the kitchen. "See you later, handsome," the waitress said goodbye as she walked away. —Maybe Red Rock is more fun than I thought. — Nick commented.
