Unexpected Consequences

di Sandrine Bessancort (Autore)

Mr Stephen Glover, 2026

In these three revised & extended 2026 editions of the highly regarded female-led fantasies of Sandrine Bessancort, we're shown the fates of three entirely different men at the hands of a number of women who, though they share those same differences, each have one overwhelming characteristic between them. Namely: the desire to never live in the shadow or under the assumed authority of the male-sex. Quite the opposite, in fact. Ms Bessancort's first revisiting brings us a re-imagined classic set in early-20th century Moscow. A tale describing the fall-from-manly-grace that follows when a former golden-boy asks a friend to petition his employer for a vacancy on his behalf. Not to know that employer is a young widow who, like him, escaped the same dirt-poor village in which they were both born… And remembers him all too well! The second revisiting takes us back to Baker Street and a Sherlock Holmes unlike any we have seen. A version so shameful and damning to his legacy his friend and biographer, Doctor John Watson, can only allow it to be published long after the passing of both Holmes and himself… And, in doing so, reveal how Holmes became infatuated and obsessed with a most superior and "warped" woman. Finally, Ms Bessancort transports us to the Eastern Seaboard of the US; as a big-city journalist interviews an aged but still scandalous woman from a small town. An aged woman with a story of depraved and inexplicable evil he feels sure will enthral his editor as well as the readers of his Baltimore daily… Unaware he himself is about to become enthralled in the worst of ways by the old woman's imperious niece. Three professionally re-edited and proof-read versions of Sandrine Bessancort's vastly-extended tales from antiquity; in which women show men they are not only their equals but, and more often than not, by far their superior when it comes to intelligence, willpower, manipulation... and evil. Inside you will find: "Revisiting the Servant"; "Revisiting a Scandal in Bohemia"; and "Revisiting Luella Miller".
