Under Section 3 of the Obscene Publications Act 1959, a video shop didn't need a trial to lose its stock. If a magistrate agreed a tape was liable to deprave and corrupt, the copies could simply be declared forfeit and destroyed — no jury, no named defendant, and often no public record beyond a police log and a stripped shelf. Illustrated throughout with original, specially commissioned artwork evoking the VHS era without reproducing a single actual poster or box cover, this closing volume finishes the fuller, messier history the series set out to tell — the tapes that were prosecuted and the tapes that weren't, the ones destroyed without a headline and the ones now sold as prestige Blu-rays, and everything in between.
