Imagine a life where, since childhood, everything always worked out for you, and as an adult, anything you ask for is given. When people are mean to you and you don't retaliate, you eventually witness their downfall. Since I was a little girl, I could see certain family members who had passed on and they would always smiling, I was never afraid. It felt like a familiar energy, even though I am alive. I never paid it any mind until one day, they called on me to join them—not in a deadly way, but to welcome them into my world. The day I let go and decided to give in, they began showing me how our world truly works and they would show me how they move . I realized that the pain I experienced at different times in my life was from receiving spiritual gifts from my ancestors. They are phenomenal beings who protect me and anyone I ask them to, and even heal. I don't know why they chose me, but once my veil was lifted, I could mentally revisit all the life experiences where they were present, helping and protecting me. I sometimes laugh with them because they love to talk to me when I allow it. Every day, I wonder, "Why me?" but now I think, "Why not me?" My friends and family began to distance themselves during the time I was trying to understand what was happening to me, and others tried to convince me I wasn't seeing or hearing what I was. But once reassured by my ancestors that I would be fully protected and that they would also protect those I asked them to, then I...realized WHO I AM.
