Out of curiosity, after reading one of her client's magazine interview, i read Julia Samuel's, psychotherapist expert in mourning, book. She describes with enormous empathy some of her clients' stories, all of which are different in age, social background or aspirations but they're all having to manage a "new normality" made of loving in the loved one's absence. In fact, everyone of them lost a person, being it a partner, a parent, a sibling or a child or they're trying to face their own incoming death. I found incredibly fascinating how their grief and powerlessness generated a wave of mixed feelings, all coherent and in contrast with themselves. I couldn't help but feeling moved by Max's, Mussie's, Jean's and Phil and Annette's stories, in this book that represents an hymn to life and love in these times when what is out of control, like death, is automatically branded as shameful and not worth of attention. I wholeheartedly recommend this book!
