Quel Vladimir Vladimirovich dalle mille vite, di giovane e rissoso teppista con il sogno di diventare un agente segreto, al grigio burocrate scelto dalla Famiglia come presidente solo di facciata, fino al crudele e paranoico autocrate ossessionato dal controllo e dalla vendetta. Un libro secco ed asciutto che, spegnendo la rutilante propaganda, ci costringe a toglierci le nostre miopi lenti occidentali per capire come la Russia si sia trasformata in un lugubre sistema di morte e terrore che fa capo al potentissimo e sconosciuto uomo senza volto.
